I've updated the Volca Mixer schematic to now have 6 inputs (making it officially twice as good as Korgs own version*).

ReplyDeleteThanks! I got as far as having a working breadboard version, but I never got around to getting any PCBs made. I really wanted to, but I haven't had enough time :-(
DeleteI already have a PT2399 circuit built and a mixer built, seeing your schematics has given me the incentive to combine both. I'll be using your design if that's ok to combine the two. I'll let you know how it goes. :-)

Well, Result. :-) I put together both boards and made a 4 input mixer with delay. Works as a passive mixer as well.

DeleteSorry for the delay, had to take a few weeks away. My mixer board and delay board were already built so it was basically the concept and the wiring for the potentiometers I was needing help with. t's not without it's issues (it's quite noisy) but I'm hoping to sort these soon. I may even rebuild the board using your schematics.
DeleteI seem to remember the PT2399 delay chip has 2 grounds, a digital one and analog one... maybe check the data sheet to make sure the ground is wired correctly (digital only going to digital etc) - otherwise it might be the source of the noise. I think I've also had noise from the 7805 battery power converter... try keeping any audio parts away from it if you can
