Free Behringer CZ-1 Mini Editor

https://www.behringer-cz1-editor.co.uk/

This editor has taken me forever to complete! It's by far and away the most advanced one I've built yet, featuring 90 or so sliders.  I'd had no experience with Phase Distortion Synthesis before starting this project, so it meant reading a few books and watching hours of you tube videos.  There's bound to be a few bugs, but it sure beats using the single button on the hardware to program the unit.

The UI has also been designed to shed some light on how to program it, with panels being highlighted when accessible, and animations to convey what is being changed.  Hopefully it should help somebody.  Every control has it's function listed, you just need to hover the mouse over it.

Here's a short youtube video going over some of the features.

    1. ahh you've exposed a flaw in my rigorous testing process (aka doing none)! I need to add some styling for firefox then that should fix it. I'm away at Superbooth this weekend, but hopefully I can find some time next week.

  2. also, not sure which parameters need the BankMSB message, or when it should be sent. your editor is sending a BankMSB = 1 when Line Select is set to 2 as a parameter, and same with Detune Polarity. am unable to check envelope controls, re: post above. otherwise looks great, and am getting results with the randomise function.

  3. Hi, the editor looks amazing but unfortunately it's not working for me. My CZ1-Mini is connected directly to my macbook via USB C, and I'm using Chrome as the browser. The CZ1 shows up in Midi Devices but after that, nothing happens, none of the controls have any effect. My CZ1 is running on FirmWare version 1.03.

    1. Update to my earlier post: I have experimented and changed my CZ1-Mini to send and respond on Midi Channel 1, and now the editor works! Hooray!! I had the CZ1 specifically set to respond to a different MIDI channel, so setting it to CH1 has fixed the issue.
